Our Artists
Sam
Our head ceramicist is Sam, She has multiple years of sculpting and pottery experience. She started in Florida at her high school with some great mentors. Some would argue she started in kindergarten though, being that her mother was a music teacher and the art teacher always had some time to teach her about clay after school. Currently Sam has a full time job at the EPA as a Physical Scientist, but after work she enjoys teaching sewing and ceramic classes at the Cary Art Center. Their personal studio operates out of their garage.
Greyson
Greyson recently started his ceramic journey about 2 years ago. Once Sam started teaching at the local art center, his interest peaked and slowly started handbuilding and trying out pottery. He realized Pottery was not for him and continued to hone his skills in handbuilding. Picking things up quickly, he forms ceramic dice towers for Dungeons & Dragons that make the perfect sound when rolling for a crit.
Our Materials
Clay it either Stoneware, or porcelain depending on our mood, please reach out if you have further questions about our clay bodies and glazes.
